Katie Dellamaggiore
Director, PRODUCER Katie Dellamaggiore is an award-winning documentary filmmaker drawn to intimate stories that reveal something bigger about how we connect. Her work has been supported by the Sundance Institute and the National Endowment for the Arts. Her debut, Brooklyn Castle, was a New York Times Critic’s Pick and Emmy-nominated. Her latest film, Small Town Universe, has screened on PBS’s Reel South and at festivals nationwide. She is currently directing Queen’s Castle, following young women competing at the highest levels of chess, as they navigate ambition, identity, and belonging.
Nelson Dellamaggiore
Producer, EditorNelson Dellamaggiore is an award-winning editor, filmmaker, and producer whose work moves between large-scale live events and intimate, character-driven storytelling. Over a 25-year career, he has contributed to global broadcasts like the Super Bowl, Olympics, and World Cup, as well as projects for National Geographic, PBS, and HBO, including Nickelodeon’s Emmy-winning NFL Slimetime. He produced and edited Brooklyn Castle and was a producing partner and editor on Small Town Universe, created with Katie through their company, Rescued Media.
Tracie Holder
ProducerTracie Holder is an award-winning producer and a 2016 Sundance Creative Producing Fellow. She co-directed and produced Joe Papp in Five Acts (Tribeca, PBS’s American Masters) and has produced films including Grit (Hot Docs, POV), with Give It a Shot currently in production. Her work has been supported by the Ford and MacArthur Foundations, Sundance, NEA, and ITVS. She has held key roles at Women Make Movies and Fork Films and serves as an envoy for the American Film Showcase.
Kait Halibozek
Impact ProducerKait Halibozek is a freelance impact producer with over 10 years of experience working with independent filmmakers to create social change. She has previously led the impact campaigns for documentaries including Turning Point (PCH Films), The Quiet Epidemic (Nine Vine / Sideyard Studios), War Game (Boat Rocker Studios / Anonymous Content / Matador Content), and docuseries The Class (Three Frame Media).
Liz Gunther
Impact CoordinatorLiz Gunther is an impact coordinator on Small Town Universe, where she helps lead outreach, partnerships, and screening events connecting the film with communities and expanding access to STEM education. Outside the project, she works as an archival researcher and Detroit-based production assistant. She studied Cinema & Media and Creative Writing at Oberlin College.
